• Camera & Images: The app requests access to your device camera solely to allow you to take photos of ingredients or dishes. Camera access is only used when you actively choose to take a photo within the app. You may also upload photos from your photo library instead. Images are used solely to provide the recipe generation service and are not stored beyond what is necessary to fulfill your request.
• Uploaded Images: Photos of ingredients or dishes you upload to generate recipes. These images are transmitted to AI services to analyze and generate your recipe.
• Recipe Data: Recipes and related content generated and saved within your account.
• Reviews & Comments: Any ratings or review text you submit on recipe pages.
• Newsletter Subscriptions: Your email address if you opt in to receive updates.
• Usage Data: Anonymized analytics data (e.g., pages visited, features used) to help us improve the app.

3. Camera Permission

Upgrade My Meal requests access to your device's camera (android.permission.CAMERA) for the sole purpose of allowing you to photograph ingredients or dishes directly within the app. We do not record video, access the camera in the background, or use the camera for any purpose other than capturing a photo you explicitly initiate. Camera images are not shared with third parties except as necessary to provide the AI recipe generation service.

5. Third-Party Services

Upgrade My Meal uses AI services to analyze images and generate recipes and dish photographs. Uploaded images and recipe prompts are transmitted to these services solely to fulfill your request. We do not permit these providers to use your data for their own training or marketing purposes beyond what is necessary to deliver the service.

6. Cookies & Analytics

We use session cookies for authentication and to maintain your logged-in state. We may use anonymized, aggregated analytics to understand how users interact with Upgrade My Meal. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page, which will permanently remove all associated recipes, reviews, and personal data. You may also submit a data deletion request without logging in. Newsletter subscribers may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send.

Upgrade My Meal is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
